Videos are seen organically reaching twice as much as a Photo!
This comes as there was a study done by Social Bakers, basing this on 4,445 Brand Pages and 670,000 Posts (October 2014 – February 2015). The results were really surprising:
- Video Posts (8.71% reach)
- Text-only Posts (5.77% reach)
- Link Posts (5.29% reach)
- Photo Posts (3.73% reach)
BUT, what was also interesting was that during the study, Photo Posts drove 87% interaction for the top 10% of the brand’s posts. So this doesn’t mean that we stop posting picture posts, but rather, start to explore mixing videos into our posts. It may be the right time to consider posting videos in your Facebook Business Page to improve reach, while using Photos to drive engagement.
Results do vary depending on our target audience, what’s important is that we focus on creating content that is relevant and connects with our fanpage fans.
